The Red Clay Strays are touring across the country right now, bringing their phenomenal show of Southern rock with powerful storytelling to packed rooms. This might be the highlight performance on the entire tour. It's Nashville for starters. The Strays, though, are no longer playing some of the smaller theaters that they cut their teeth on when they first came on the scene. It's a bit of a shame because the aura that came about when Brandon Coleman walked out onto a smaller stage is still unmatched! The Red Clay Strays – a brilliant mix of Southern rock, country and blues from a Birmingham, AL based band who’s songs full of life and real emotion. The three ‘signature songs’ of The Red Clay Strays are ‘Wondering Why’, ‘Moments’ and ‘Drowning’. The songs from The Red Clay Strays’ last releases have made the band one of the leading acts of the new Southern rock movement. Their name refers to the red clay that can be found throughout the state of Alabama. Their high energy performances have been getting a lot of great reviews from audience and critics alike and they stay true to their roots while they are presenting their music in a modern form. Every song will land with you differently.
Country, with roots of blues and a lot of heart and soul of home, is what The Red Clay Strays bring to this show. A blending of The Alabama natives are the perfect act to bring a Southern flare to this show and their signature songs such as ‘Wondering Why’, ‘Moments’ and ‘Drowning’ highlight their skill at creating relatable and real emotions in their songs, with their last batch of releases continuing to solidify their stance as the leaders of the new wave of Southern Rock. Their name is inspired by the red clay found throughout Alabama, which is where they are from. But by far the most mesmerizing talent of the evening will be the young woman with the voice of an angel – Sierra Ferrell. A woman of seemingly endless musical talents, styles, and repertoire, it’s highly likely that not a single person in attendance will fail to be absolutely fascinated by her in some way, be it her folk-oriented songs, her country songs, her Latin-oriented songs, or her long list of songs rooted in traditional American roots music. Some of the finest songs in her repertoire include her classic “In Dreams”, her soulful “Jeremiah”, as well as her beautiful “West Virginia Waltz”.
The concert will be held at Bridgestone Arena in downtown Nashville, TN. The venue is a world-class facility that can seat approximately 20,000 fans.
